ANDREA ROSSI
& ANDY MATHEWS established Durango Comedy & Events in 2025, with Andy taking over the project operations in 2026 as the sole show-runner and producer. Working for the community in bringing a cohesive & well produced comedy scene to the Four Corners, this has been one hell of an experience so far. They collaborate with local businesses, communities + the incredibly talented Durango Improv team who has since left the area, Lower Left Improv, to make comedy a destination in the mountains. They curate a lineup of nationally touring artists, local and themed showcases, as well as provide support to many of the comedy-specific open mics running in Durango.
Ultimately, they want everyone to feel like the art of comedy is accessible and enjoyable – because it is! Laughter is universal, and necessary.
Throughout their ventures in performing and organizing comedy in Southwest Colorado, they've been able to connect with local and nationally recognized artists, comedians, and producers to help bring their dream of great comedy to Durango's neck of the woods.
