ANDREA ROSSI
& ANDY MATHEWS established Durango Comedy & Events in 2025, with Andy taking over the project operations in 2026 as the sole show-runner and producer. Working for the community in bringing a cohesive & well produced comedy scene to the Four Corners, it's been a hell of a ride. Durango Comedy collaborates with local businesses & communities, the city's creative district, and various nonprofits to to make comedy a destination in the mountains.
The business is known for curating a highly respected and talented lineup of nationally recognized acts - along with regional, local and themed showcases & providing support to many of the open mic opportunities running in Durango.
Frequently going beyond just stand-up, Durango Comedy co-produces improv shows & work with the talented Durango Improv team(s) to bring a well-rounded comedy schedule to the community. Originally partnering with Mary Quinn of Lower Left Improv, who has since relocated to Florida (You are missed, MQ!), they hope to keep up even an ounce of the magic she was able to create for improv in Durango.
Ultimately, they want everyone to feel like the art of comedy is accessible and enjoyable – because it is! Laughter is universal, and necessary.
