Durango’s own Andy Mathews is stepping out from behind the curtain to deliver a night of brilliantly biting humor and what can only be described as very polite hostility. As the sole show-runner and producer behind Durango Comedy & Events, Andy has been the primary architect of the region’s surging comedy scene [alongside Andrea Rossi], but he'd rather be on-stage, f*ckin it up, having fun, whatever you want to call it.

Voted "Judges Choice" at the 2025 Stand-Up For Local First showcase & headlining in multiple cities, Andy has earned a reputation across the Southwest for his raw, unfiltered takes on the absurdities of modern life...covering everything from the awkwardness of small-town living and his personal journey in recovery to his legendary, long-standing vendetta against men who wear sandals. His performances, including his acclaimed solo show Village Weirdo, are described as a "love letter to a rural upbringing," blending high-speed storytelling with a razor-sharp wit that invites the audience to laugh at the world right along with him.
