NAOMI
KARAVANI
@ THE DAC
Featured on Comedy Central and NPR, NYC comedian and writer Naomi Karavani brings her razor-sharp, darkly funny stand-up to the Durango Arts Center this September. Voted by Time Out Magazine as one of “NYC’s Best Comedy Shows” for her work on Bitches Brew, Naomi is known for her sardonic wit and captivating storytelling. She’s a regular performer at New York’s legendary Comedy Cellar, has opened for Dusty Slay and Jim Norton, and tours nationally, headlining top clubs and festivals across the U.S., including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Her debut album Firecracker (Comedy Records) can be heard on SiriusXM, and her hour-long solo show Dominant earned rave reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She was a writer and cast member of the political satire show Redacted Tonight for five years, and has performed at top festivals across the U.S. and abroad, including NY Comedy Fest, Brooklyn Comedy Fest, Limestone, Cape Fear, Women in Comedy, Bentzen Ball, and more.
After putting out her 2024 special, Naomi tackles some darkly twisted subjects in her current touring hour — from wild animals to medieval kings, absurd family moments to the tangled mess of love and dating. It’s smart. It’s subversive. And it’s hilarious from start to finish.
One night only in Durango before she’s back on tour — don’t miss it.
