Durango is home to so many different artists, performers, and lovers of on-stage theatrics. Here at Durango Comedy, we want to honor their work and help platform a multitude of community members and the talents they possess. Don't get us wrong - this event will absolutely still have jokes. However, you might see something you never knew existed in Durango... or maybe you just really love Burlesque. Hell, you could just want a cocktail and a stress-free, fun evening filled with art.

Say hello to the Big-Ass Variety Show at The Subterrain. This is a special night embracing our area's talents in a pleathorah of forms. This is no ordinary vibe...The Subterrain is an underground art and performance space with immersive installations and art around every corner.

Performers are encouraged to bring the ENERGY! This is an evening for audience members to embrace and celebrate our creative communities in Durango, while performers dive into the parts of their personalities & expression that make them unique.

This is a wonderful opportunity to support artists in Durango & have a hilarious, energy-packed, wild-ride of an evening.

Almost 7 years into comedy writing, Brian Nystrom continues to make the Four Corners crack up consistently. With an irreverent and honest style, Brian has impressed audiences all around the region & has been a featured performer & headliner in Durango.

CARO GOMEZ
(COMEDY)

You might recognize Caro from selling their introspective, beautiful, and sometimes silly art around town; or you might have seen them do comedy in the past. Regardless, they'll be flexing their funny-bone this evening with a distinct comedic style that is as charming as it is cutting. Get ready, folks, Caro doesn't like to hold back.

From performances across Colorado, Chad (the drag king) has charmed many ladies around the region. With a blend of high-energy dance & assertive crowd skills, Chad makes sure each and every performance is memorable (and frisky-as-hell) for his audience. Chad's explosive style and stage presence proves their is a reason audiences love him, and he loves his audiences *wink*. Ladies, please, try to control yourself.

CHAD HARE
(COMEDY + HOST)

Chad Hare is another long-standing comedian in Durango; and he's your vibe guide for the night. Chad is also a co-producer for this Variety Show. Chad started doing comedy at occasional open mics around the Durango area in his early 20's, but started taking it more seriously in recent years. You can expect observational and dark humor mixed with a barrage of self-deprecation within his set – yeah, he's the guy setting the tone.

(BURLESQUE)

Kathryn Bell is a dance instructor, organizer and performer of Durango's local burlesque scene, and overall a very involved community member; She helps to offer a consistent calendar of shows in Durango for audiences to indulge and appreciate the art of tease & seduction. Kat will be taking over the stage in January to perform her incredible burlesque act; be prepared to be tantalized, enticed, and wanting just a little more.

DJ Tones has been a true supporter of the comedy scene in Durango, frequently DJing at our Subterrain events. We are happy to say that his brand of funky, hip-hop and nostalgic infused beats will be guiding our night of performers. Tones knows how to throw down some energy, so we can't wait to have him working his magic on the decks.
