Get ready for a night of laughter and purpose because YAY! Fest Durango is coming to town! This exciting comedy event will take place at the local American Legion venue in Durango, Colorado. The special evening is hosted by The YAY Foundation, a wonderful non-profit group that helps people tackle mental health challenges through the power of comedy and joy.

The incredible star of the night is hilarious headliner Aida Rodriguez! You might know her from her popular comedy special Fighting Words on HBO Max or from the show Last Comic Standing. She is famous for telling honest, funny, and spicy stories about her own life.

Along with the stand-up show, guests can explore a community resource fair with various nonprofits and helpful area lifelines. This fair gives people a comfortable way to learn about local mental health tools and support groups with

Even better, buying a ticket does a lot of good: 100% of the proceeds go directly to The YAY Foundation to help them keep running programs that break down the taboo feelings around mental health and addiction recovery through storytelling and stand-up comedy. RODRIGUEZ:

Aida Rodriguez is a powerhouse stand-up comedian, actress, and writer known for her fierce, raw, and deeply personal style. After making history as a finalist on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, she exploded into mainstream success on Tiffany Haddish’s Netflix showcase They Ready. She followed that momentum with her critically acclaimed HBO Max solo comedy special, Fighting Words, which brilliantly turned her real-life survival stories into hilarious social commentary. Most recently, she released her highly anticipated memoir, Legitimate Kid, and continues to expand her footprint as a recurring voice on The Young Turks and a rising producer in Hollywood.

In addition to her stage work, Rodriguez has successfully transitioned into film and behind-the-scenes leadership. She made her directing debut with HBO Max, stepping behind the camera to direct multiple stand-up specials for the Entre Nos comedy series. Most recently, she stepped into a leading feature film role starring opposite Justina Machado and Alycia Pascual-Peña in the indie dramedy Hurricane Seasons. She also created and hosted The Remix, an acclaimed live comedy-meets-music experience presented by the LA Phil at The Ford. Today, she continues to tour the country with a brand-new hour of stand-up and has a scripted television series based on her life in active development.
